The Wolfville Farmers Market is one of the busiest year round markets in Nova Scotia. Starting in 1992 with only a handful of participants there are now regularily over 60 booths each week.
During the warmer months it is located outside on Front Street in Wolfville. Once the weather gets colder it is moved inside to the Acadia Student Union Building on Highland Ave.
The market is open each Saturday from 8:30 am until 1:00 pm and is a great way to spend a morning. You get to wander through and pick up some local food and products. Besides the wide variety of products it is also a fun social event. You can meet all kinds of interesting people, be it people from the Valley or tourists who regularily end up at the market.
The Market is also a great way to check out local talent. Each week there is an event or theme and lots of times there is live music from local artists.
So whether you live in the Valley or are visiting from away, you should certainly plan on stopping by the market and seeing what the vendors have to offer.
