The Trecothic Creek & Windsor Railway is a miniature train setup where you can ride on model trains. The members of the Railway have built a great area to show off their passion and engage the visitors.
They are only open roughly once every couple weeks and the entrance fee to the grounds is a free donation so it is worth it to schedule a trip to take the nice peaceful ride around the grounds. The members have built a train station for passengers to board the trains. The trains themselves are made by the members as well. They have gas powered engines, electric engines, and even steam engines which boil water by burning coal.
All the members are extremely pleasant and some wear authentic dress for the locomotive they own. They are also more than happy to answer any questions about their trains or the yard.
The schedule for the 2010 season will be:
June 6th and 20th
July 4th, 18th and 31st
August 1st, 15th and 29th
September 12th and 26th
October 10th
They will likely be adding another day in October to cover Windsor's Pumpkin Festival weekend.
